The catalog was created in response to the need for a single document addressing issues relevant to fire and arson investigation training and professional improvement. The catalog has four sections: (1) a State-by- State listing of training opportunities, (2) an index of the training opportunities by primary topic, (3) policies and procedures of certification programs in fire investigation and related fields, and (4) the bibliography. Each section can stand alone as a separate document, but the sections are also designed to complement each other.
