Abstract
Knowledge domains of the instructional unit include traffic collision investigation, procedures for sketching a traffic accident scene, and the collection of physical evidence from a traffic accident scene. The major part of the unit focuses on the economic impact of traffic accidents, insurance fraud, the police response to traffic accidents, police report writing, traffic accidents involving alcohol, interviews with vehicle drivers and passengers, and primary and secondary collision factors. The lesson plans include definitions and cite relevant sections of California's Vehicle Code.
