The 9th conference on legal data processing in Europe, held in October 1991 in Rome, Italy, was organized by the Council of Europe to report on and discuss interdisciplinary research in environmental law databases.
Abstract
Conference presentations and discussions covered the availability of computerized environmental law databases in Council of Europe member states, the need for computerized systems in the environmental field, and possibilities for European cooperation. Participants agreed that more precise and detailed information on environmental law is needed and that computerized systems can help obtain such information. They proposed that one European environmental law databank or separate national environmental law databases be created. Participants discussed the scope of environmental law and received demonstrations of various computer systems. Additional information on the conference is appended. Tables and figures
