After conducting a security survey, the company determined that construction bidding should be reopened. Security systems include roof protection through a capacitance detection system and perimeter access control through an outdoor sprinkler system, cement stanchions outside the entrances, bullet-resistant windows, a mesh screen cover for the radiator on the generator, and an access card system. Inside the building, the facility was protected by an alarm panel with a 16-zone minimum, 50-code minimum, battery backup for all operations, dual-arming capability, motion detectors, door contacts, and glass break detectors. Modifications in some of the systems were required due to cost or feasibility issues. Following some initial fine-tuning, the system has worked well.
