This corporate plan of the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) sets out the Service's objectives, targets set by the Secretary of State, and strategies for meeting these targets and building on the program of change already underway in the Service.
Abstract
The aims of the SPS include keeping in custody offenders committed by the courts, maintaining good order in prisons, caring for prisoners with humanity, and providing prisoners with a range of opportunities to prepare for release. This report describes the performance measures and key targets designated by the Secretary of State, the SPS Citizen's Charter, and a strategic overview for the Service. It also covers planning assumptions, human resource strategy, estates strategy, information system strategy, key objectives for prisons and directorates, and financial provision. 7 appendixes
