Abstract
Individual papers focus on the problem of intimidation in criminal justice systems, the future of the Crown Prosecution Service in England and Wales, prosecution in the Federal Republic of Germany, international forfeiture, efforts to reduce delays in criminal justice administration in the Philippines, and efforts to reduce prison overcrowding. Additional papers discuss criminal justice administration, sentencing, and corrections in Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sweden, United States, and other countries. Other papers examine on policing innovation, with emphasis on police-community relations; measures to ensure rapid and fair trials, the United Nations guidelines on the role of prosecutors, pretrial detention, and community-based corrections.
