Overall Minnesota juvenile population projections are presented by gender for 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020. Juvenile population projections by race/ethnicity and gender are shown for these same years. Data encompass Caucasians, African-Americans, Asians, American Indians, Hispanics, and "other races." Offenses known or reported to law enforcement encompass both adults and juveniles for each year from 1973 through 1991. The graphs address the numbers and rates of serious crimes, violent crimes, and property crimes. Data on juvenile apprehensions compare them with adult arrests and show the apprehension numbers and rates for juvenile serious crimes, violent crimes, and property crimes for each year from 1974 through 1992. The number of juvenile delinquency and status offense case filings are shown for each year from 1983 through 1992.
