Abstract
The proposed legislation would reauthorize the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974. The four major programs provided by the legislation are State formula grant programs and technical assistance, juvenile delinquency prevention and treatment programs in areas of special emphasis, the National Institute for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and programs that coordinate and concentrate Federal efforts.
