This is a design study of crime and personality in which type of crime and gender differences were manipulated as independent variables.
Abstract
For this multigroup design study of crime and personality, 90 individuals were selected randomly from various jails and a sociodemographically matched control group was selected from the general population. Out of 16 factors, criminals were found to differ from non-criminal counterparts on 12. In addition, type of crime and gender differences were also obtained. Implications of findings regarding personality factors as predictors of crime are discussed. Tables, figures, references
