When a statute extends or tolls a general statute of limitations, reference must be made to this general provision to determine applicable time limitations. Several States, including Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming have no statute of limitations for criminal felony prosecutions.
