A total of 10,616 inmates were received and 10,882 were released during the month. A total of 29.2 percent were white, 32.1 percent black, 33.8 percent Hispanic, and 5 percent of other races. California also had 81,360 male parolees and 8,249 female parolees in December 1994, an increase of 3,787 from the previous year.
