Individual sections focus on the fee for criminal history searches for purposes unrelated to criminal justice; criminal identification records, records, and statistics; cooperation in criminal identification, records, and statistics; citizen access to public records and property; and the general duties of public officials regarding public records and property. Other sections focus on procedures for obtaining access to public records, challenges and corrections to information in public records enforcement and penalties related to unlawful access to or use of records.
