Some of the more significant topics discussed included an American perspective on terrorism, activities undertaken by the United Nations to combat terrorism, political violence in Northern Ireland, the use of military force in counterterrorist operations, the nuclear threat posed by international terrorist groups, an analysis of low-level conflict, the association between terrorism and human rights, and an assessment of the future from a research perspective.
