This 1995 Directory of Computerized Criminal Justice Information Systems contains descriptions of automated criminal justice information systems used by the police, the public prosecutor's office, the courts, the correctional administrations, and other criminal justice agencies throughout Canada, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Latin America.
Abstract
The directory describes the criminal justice information systems that are operational or that are being developed, shows the current status of each system's application, and provides contact names and addresses. It is designed to assist criminal justice professionals in the development, enhancement, or transfer of criminal justice information and statistical systems. Further, it can assist criminal justice agencies of similar size and information-processing needs to identify and transfer existing information and statistical applications. The directory consists of over 300 descriptive reports and two indexes. The country Index is organized alphabetically, first by region and then by State. The System Name Index lists each of the information systems alphabetically by name. The directory will be updated continuously, with the second edition scheduled for early 1996.
