The statistics presented in this report were collected by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Bomb Data Center and represent all bombing incidents, hoax devices, recoveries of explosives, and accidental explosions that occurred in the U.S. or its territories during 1993.
Abstract
The report describes in detail the bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City that occurred in February 1993. The narrative section also covers the Bomb Data Center operations, the FBI's Hazardous Devices School, and the Postal Inspection Service's anti-bomb activities. Statistics on bombing incidents are tabulated by quarter and day, by time of occurrence, by State and region, and by target. The report discusses recovered explosives, improvised explosive devices, filler material, explosive fuzing, incendiary devices, hoax devices, and injuries and deaths caused by explosions.
