This report summarizes statistical data from the Maricopa County (Arizona) Juvenile Court Center in 1994 and compares it with that of the prior four years.
Abstract
The bulk of the report deals with juvenile delinquency and incorrigibility (status) referrals. The report discusses type of juvenile referral in terms of severity of the offense and source of referral; provides a referral profile based on sex, age, ethnicity, school status, school trade, school district, and previous referrals of the juvenile offender; describes the profile of a typical first offender; and presents statistics on juvenile detention. Other areas covered by the report include probation, commitments, transfers, intake, home detention, placements, diversion programs, recidivism, court hearings summaries, and the disposition of juveniles. 2 appendixes
