The experiences of the police in Budapest, Hungary, with respect to the city's automatic traffic control system are described.
Abstract
Efficient traffic control cannot be maintained in a large modern city without the use of a network of technical devices and a well-equipped traffic control center. Such a system is automatic, but can also be operated manually. Finding the optimal proportion of manual interference in the system is of crucial importance. The author is the head of the Traffic Department at the Budapest Police Headquarters. Figure
