This report describes the programs and services of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, including its technical assistance, publications, training, testing, research, and information systems.
Abstract
The association is a nonprofit organization of approximately 13,000 members from the world's law enforcement community. Its technical assistance includes management and operations surveys of police agencies, problemsolving assistance to police agencies, an executive search service, and legislative services. Publications include Police Chief magazine, six-page training monographs, a membership directory, and an annual conference proceedings. Training programs are conducted throughout the year for police officers, police supervisors, and police chiefs. The association also sponsors several award programs.
