This Request for Expression of Interest (RFEI) issued by the New York City Department of Correction is designed to obtain input and information from businesses in the private sector, so as to aid the Department of Corrections in deciding how best to provide services in various areas of corrections.
Abstract
New York City has begun a needs-analysis to determine the cost and operational effectiveness of contracting out security, program, operational, administrative, support, medical, dental, psychological, social, and endemic services for short-term and long-term clients currently provided by uniform and civilian corrections employees. The information received in response to the RFEI will not result in a contract award. The information will be used in the needs-analysis. The narrative portion of the RFEI encompasses the scope of this effort, general information, standards for performance, and the period of performance. The summary of services is in the broad areas of security, administration, programs, and maintenance. Following profiles of the facilities of the Department of Correction, the RFEI questionnaire is provided. 4 data tables on length of stay under the jurisdiction of the Department of Correction, civilian personnel, and uniform personnel
