The report outlines the Council's membership, powers and responsibilities, subcommittees, and meetings. Activities during the reporting period included participation in court conferences, sponsorship of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, advocacy of legislation, preparation of a supervised visitation center report, public appearances, training, support of pro bono attorneys for victims of domestic violence, and operation of an information clearinghouse. The report also contains subcommittee reports on issues ranging from law enforcement and criminal justice data collection to interagency coordination, promotion of violence prevention programs, and involvement of the medical community; provides a Statewide assessment of the incidence of domestic violence; and summarizes future goals and programs. 1 appendix
