This document contains the proceedings of the Fourth Session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, held in late May and early June of 1995.
Abstract
Draft resolutions prepared for consideration by the United Nations Economic and Social Council pertain to the prevention of urban crime, the prevention of organized smuggling of illegal migrants across national boundaries, establishment of a clearinghouse for international projects in the field of criminal justice and crime prevention, the adoption of standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice, the initiation of anticorruption efforts, and the development of technical cooperation and interregional advisory services. Draft decisions prepared for adoption by the Economic and Social Council relate to the appointment of board members to the UN Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute, organization of work for the fifth session of this Commission, and report of the Commission on the fourth session. This document also describes priority themes for the work of the Commission, presents a provisional agenda for the fifth session of the Commission, and outlines the organization ofthe fourth session. 5 appendixes
