This CD-ROM represents Germany's first attempt at creating a fully computerized criminology documentation system and includes two bibliographical data bases of German and foreign criminological publications.
Abstract
KRIMDOK includes 21,000 entries (both articles and monographs) from 1990 to the present. It connects directly to the Heidelberg Documentation (available in print only), a bibliography which covers criminological literature in German language to 1989. The texts in KRIMDOK can also be accessed via a subject index. KRIMMON lists the criminological texts available in the Criminology Library of the University of Tuebingen. This library has been funded by the German Research Society since 1969; its purpose is to introduce German criminologists to the most recent criminological literature from abroad. Its holdings of approximately 51,000 volumes include published as well as unpublished documents (for example, government research and texts) predominantly from foreign countries. The CD-ROM offers a choice of two research programs. KROKUS is used to search KRIMDOK while the more comprehensive LitMan accesses KRIMDOK and KRIMMON.
