Changes in the geoposition of feminist criminology and associated definitions and debates are reviewed that concern female criminality, the importance of feminist work in the development of radical criminology, and female victimology. Studies of gender and crime have been conducted in Great Britain, and study findings have affected public debate on feminist perspectives. These studies have examined women's experiences of violence and social control and official government responses to women's issues, particularly rape and domestic violence. The contribution of feminism to the activities of universities and research institutes is discussed, and media coverage of feminist crime concerns is considered. 116 references
