This article discusses the ad hoc committee's general findings in terms of recruitment and retention of employees, productivity, cost, morale, injured-on-duty/sick-time usage, fatigue, court attendance, quality of service, and service to the community. The remainder of the article discusses the committee's findings regarding a specific work schedule, the implementation of a compressed work schedule pilot program, and evaluation criteria for the pilot program.
