This report describes State and Federal court decisions and Attorney General opinions between July 1992 and June 1994 to assist the Wisconsin Law Revision Committee in its review of decisions and opinions referred to it by the State's revisor of statutes.
Abstract
The cases and opinions cover six subject areas: (1) general government, (2) criminal and juvenile, (3) court procedures, (4) employment, (5) family, and (6) motor vehicle and taxes. For each case and opinion, the report presents the revisor's statement of the need for law revision; an analysis of the case, opinion, or memorandum prepared by the Wisconsin Legislative Council staff; and suggested alternatives for consideration by the Law Revision Committee. All decisions of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court described in the report have either not been appealed or an appeal has been denied, except as noted in the discussions.
