The goal of the Rocky Mountain Information Network (RMIN) is to help State and local criminal justice agencies in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming identify, target, and remove criminal conspiracies and criminal activities spanning jurisdictional boundaries.
Abstract
Primary RMIN objectives are to encourage and facilitate the rapid exchange and sharing of information on known or suspected criminals among Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies and to enhance coordination and communication among these agencies in the pursuit of criminal conspiracies determined to be interjurisdictional in nature. To accomplish these objectives, the RMIN has four distinct divisions: Administration, Analytical, Intelligence Research, and Field Services. Activities and accomplishments of these divisions during 1992 are detailed, and hardware and software improvements to the Regional Information Sharing System are described. Data illustrating the use of RMIN resources are provided that include information on drug seizures and recoveries. 13 charts
