Twelve tables present British statistics on drug addicts notified to the Home Office for 1995, as well as for each year from 1985 through 1994.
Abstract
Data are presented by each police force in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. One table presents data on new drug addicts notified to the Home Office for each of the years 1985-95, followed by a table that presents this information per million population. A third table provides the number of renotified drug addicts and all drug addicts notified to the Home Office for each year of 1990-95; this information is also provided for per million population. Numbers of new drug addicts notified to the Home Office as addicted to heroin are provided for each of the years 1985-95, as well as the number of heroin addicts renotified to the Home Office for each of the years 1989- 95. Another table provides data on new drug addicts notified to the Home Office by Regional Health Authority of notifier for each of the years 1991-95. A table presents data on renotified drug addicts and all drug addicts notified to the Home Office by Regional Health Authority of notifier for each of the years 1991- 95. Two tables contain data on the numbers of new drug addicts notified and renotified to the Home Office during 1995 by Regional Health Authority as well as addict age and sex. Other tables provide data on the numbers of all drug addicts notified to the Home Office during 1995 by Regional Health authority, age, sex, source of first notification in the year, country of origin, and latest injecting status.
