The Supreme Court received a total of 1,064 primary cases, concluded 608 cases, and had 1,284 cases pending at the end of the year. The Court of Appeals received 580 primary cases, concluded 527 cases, and had 252 pending primary cases at the end of the year. The 86 circuit and family court judges disposed of 252,854 cases and held 3,591 terms of court. At the end of the year the clerks of court reported 138,985 cases pending in the circuit and family courts. A total of 109,419 new cases were filed in the court of general sessions, and 44,207 cases were filed in the court of common pleas.
