Abstract
Trend data for cases filed are presented by judicial district and county, as well as type of case (civil, domestic relations, offense, probate, and mental health). Data are shown for a comparable period in 1995 and for the total years of 1993, 1994, and 1995. The same statistical format is used to present trend data for cases terminated and cases pending. Other data for circuit courts address cases filed, terminated, and pending per authorized judicial position trend data; the age of pending cases; an analysis of cases tried; juvenile petitions filed; goals for timely disposition; and length of trial. Trend data for cases filed in district courts are presented by judicial district, county, and type of case (infractions, violations, misdemeanors, felonies, civil, and small claims) for the first half of 1996, the first half of 1995, and for the total year for 1993, 1994, and 1995. A similar statistical format is used to present trend data on cases terminated and cases pending. Other data presented for district courts address the age of pending cases; cases filed, terminated, and pending; misdemeanor, felony, civil, and small claims cases filed, terminated, and pending per authorized judicial position; an analysis of cases tried; goals for timely disposition; and length of trial.
