Abstract
White Deer Run, Inc. is a private nonprofit organization that serves adolescents requiring specialized intervention due to drug dependence, sometimes accompanied by criminal, antisocial, or deviant behaviors. White Deer Run is located on 137 acres and typically provides 3-6 months of treatment using educational, vocational, psychological, and social methods of rehabilitation. It serves the criminal justice system and social service agencies by providing an alternative institutionalization through the use of instruction in independent living and social skills and participation in community support groups. The long-term program for adolescents is the organization's newest program. Treatment in the adolescent chemical dependency program progresses through three phases starting with orientation and progressing through aftercare. The program serves males ages 13-18 and will initially provide services to 18 clients. Charts displaying the weekday and weekend schedules and brochure describing all the organization's programs
