The report, Inmate Population and Movement Statistics Fiscal Year 1997-1998, comprises 11 sections: (1) All Facilities; (2) All Community Correctional Centers; (3-7) Hawaii, Kauai, Maui, Oahu, and Women’s Community Correctional Centers; (8) All Correctional Facilities; and (9-11) Halawa, Kulani, and Waiawa Correctional Facilities. The report includes narratives highlighting the statistical information for each section and a glossary of terms. The counts of inmates were tabulated and reported by each facility. Inmate records in the Correctional Information System maintained by the Hawaii State Department of Public Safety were used to tabulate the number of admissions, status changes, transfers and discharges.
