Abstract
The Sixth Colloquium was held to investigate how current research can inform decision making on problems that are shared by many European countries. The agenda for the colloquium focused on topics that are to be dealt with in the framework of the 10th United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, to be held in Vienna on April 10-17, 2000. The book is divided into five main sections, with several sub-sections as noted: (1) Combating Corruption (Corruption: Acts and Attitudes); (2) Women in the Criminal Justice System; (3) Indicators of Crime and of the Performance of the Criminal Justice System; (4) Public/Private Partnerships in Crime Prevention (The Slovenian Case, The Danish Case); and (5) Crimes Related to the Computer Network (Threats and Opportunities: Criminological Perspective).
