A joint working group of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Child Abuse and Neglect and the Forensic Pediatrics Physician Leadership Group convened to develop a curriculum for medical fellowships in child abuse and neglect.
Abstract
The overall goal of the curriculum is to produce physicians who are clinically proficient in the field of child abuse and forensic pediatrics. Curriculum guidelines encompass three areas--program components, general knowledge and cognitive skills, and technical skills. The curriculum includes clinical, teaching, research, and administrative and policy components. General knowledge, cognitive, and technical skills covered by the curriculum are listed. 9 references
