The purpose of this program is to reduce substance abuse in American communities. The Drug-Free Communities Act provides financial assistance and support to community coalitions to carry out the mission of reducing substance abuse among the Nation's youth. Approximately 90 grants of up to $100,000 are given. This application package includes instructions and all necessary forms for completing the application. Detailed descriptions of the types of programs eligible, checklists, worksheets for proposed budgets and expenditures, peer review guidelines and contacts for additional information are included.
