Abstract
The United States Sentencing Commission is responsible for establishing a research and development program, providing a clearinghouse and information center for collection, preparation, and dissemination of information on Federal sentencing practices, and serving as a consultant in the development, maintenance, and coordination of sound sentencing practices. The Guide includes data on: (1) Government Printing Office Regional Depository Libraries; (2) Publication and Resource Availability; (3) Information Resources (HelpLine, Internet Site, Video and Audio Tapes, Newsclips, Public Comment, and Official Records, Library Resources, and Training); (4) Commission Publications (Guidelines Manuals, Annual Reports, Reports to Congress, Legal Briefs, Policy Development Team and Working Group Reports, Staff Discussion Papers -- Simplification Project, and Other Reports and Publications); and (5) Commission Data (Monitoring, Historical, and Special Study Datasets).
