The book suggests use of these data in comparative studies of the seven countries' correctional systems with correctional systems in other countries, considering methods to improve or promote national administrations. Further, the book is intended as a foundation from which criminal justice officials throughout Asia can consolidate their existing practices and further develop criminal justice administration for the benefit of their own society and that of the international community.
