Abstract
Correctional research can be found in a wide range of publications, both specific to corrections and more general in focus. This research is designed to assist academics and practitioners in identifying where particular types of corrections research are most likely to be found. The article reviewed for content and topical focus 1,121 articles published between 1990 and 1999 in five corrections specialty journals--The Prison Journal, Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, Federal Probation, International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology, and Corrections Management Quarterly. Results show clear patterns of topical focus across titles. The article presents results both for the entire sample and for each journal. The article concludes that individual journals have very distinct foci for the material they publish, and the title of a journal truly does indicate the contents. The fact that there are definite patterns and trends across the journals is important and useful for all persons who need to locate information about corrections topics. Table, notes, references
