The noise/flash diversionary device (NFDD) has become an essential tool for law enforcement tactical teams. Manufacturers of NFDD's have developed training devices to realistically simulate the operational characteristics of standard NFDD's. Although the energy released from the training model is insufficient to use the irritant powder modules, other accessories may be used for the same purposes that they might be used operationally.
