This article evaluates the criminal economy of France.
Abstract
Taking a macroeconomic approach to economics, crime, and criminal activity in Europe, this article assesses the nature and extent of France’s criminal economy. In this article, the authors present a survey of current research examining the primary methods utilized by various economists in order to assess the nature and extent of France’s criminal economy. The authors of this piece outline the first and primary findings from a variety of research studies focused on economic crime in France, and present their own evaluation of the current state of research studies concerning the criminal economy of European cities.
