Abstract
Following a glossary of terms and abbreviations, this report offers a series of tables containing statistical information about the pre-release and work release population of adult corrections institutions, characteristics of pre-release and work release resident inmates within institutions, admissions to prison, releases from prison, and custody distributions of pre-release and work release resident inmates within institutions. No narrative explanations of the data are provided. Tables include information about the average daily population and rated capacity of corrections facilities by month; the average daily population of females by month; the average daily population per month by type of facility; and the distribution of location by race, by military service, by violent crime conviction, by age, by sentencing authority, and by county of conviction. Other tables offer data regarding admissions to prison by month, by type of admission, by sex, by county of conviction, by age, by race, and by type of offense. Similar tables are offered for releases from prison. Finally, information about custody classifications is offered by location, by most recent placement, by population assignment, and by sex.
