SACs contribute to effective policy development through statistical services, research, evaluation, and policy analysis. The first section of this directory presents a detailed listing of SAC activities by State and territory. The information for each activity includes a brief description, data sources, keywords, date of completion, the phone number for a contact, and a Web site address where one exists. The second section of the directory provides a listing, alphabetically by State, of reports published by the SACs between January 2003 and May 2004. These publications constitute the final reports on the SAC activities represented. The date of each publication is provided. The final section is an index of justice issues, which allows for quick access to the activities described in the first section. The index contains a list of the 140 keywords designated in the Database of State Activities and Research. Below each content area in the index is the name of the originating State, the titles of the activities that focus on the content area, and the page on which the summary description of each activity can be found.
