Other data on detained prisoners cover length of time in custody, the daily average population, and annual admissions for the years 1996-2004. Similar data are provided for convicted prisoners, with the addition of tables that show the number of convicted prisoners according to previous convictions (2001-2004), gender, type of offense, and discharge (2002-2004). Nine tables address direct admissions to the Training School for Youthful Offenders (2000-2004). Admissions are noted according to age, place of residence, marital status of the youth's parents, other family characteristics, mental status, and literacy.
