This article presents the genotype profile data for five population groups at the Short Tandem Repeat (STR) Loci D2S1338 and D19S433.
Abstract
A new multiplex kit called the AmpFISTR Identifier kit has been developed that allows for the amplification of 13 core STR loci and the 2 additional loci under examination in this article (D2S1338 and D19S433). The allele frequency data for these two STR loci is identified for five population groups: African-Americans, U.S. Caucasians, southwestern Hispanics, Chamorros, and Filipinos. The genotype profile data for these populations is identified in table format. The profile identification numbers are provided so that the data may be easily linked with data in other databases and datasets. The identification of these two STR loci for the population groups under examination is expected to be useful for forensic applications and population genetic studies. Table, references
