Sexual harassment and sexual misconduct against incarcerated persons violates either the law or corrections policy in all 50 States. Incarcerated men and women who experience verbal or physical harassment, assault or misconduct have the right to remedy the abuse. Corrections institutions should also remedy this conduct because sexual misconduct threatens both personal and institutional security. This publication provides critical information and strategies for inmates on identifying and addressing sexual misconduct. It is designed for incarcerated individuals and others concerned about sexual misconduct in correctional institutions.
