This is the advance listing of the Preliminary Program of the 2008 Gang Training Conference of the National Gang Crime Research Center (NGCRC), to be held August 6-8, 2008, in Chicago, IL.
Abstract
Each listing contains the title or topic of the session; presenter name, affiliation, and bio; duration of the session; abstract; and type of session credit offered toward the NGCRC gang specialist certification program. A total of 107 courses or sessions are listed. Among the topics that will be addressed in the sessions are gang profiles; gang prevention/intervention; gang intelligence collection, databases, and sharing; gang prosecution procedures; gang threat analysis; the impact of gang-related video games; program/intervention evaluation; gang investigation techniques; and building a gang unit.
