Abstract
This is the second part of a special double issue focusing on the effects that childhood emotional maltreatment has on intimate relationships. It explores the relational difficulties often encountered by emotional abuse survivors. The empirically based articles in this issue look at the association between childhood emotional maltreatment and the relational difficulties of self-sacrifice, codependency, intimate partner violence, and sexual aggression. This introduction provides a brief summary of each article in this special issue. (Published Abstract)
