Delinquency services programs (also referred to as graduated sanctions) are available to youth across Iowa who have been adjudicated delinquent and/or placed into such programming by the courts. Programming is provided through Juvenile Court Services across eight judicial districts. Programming encompasses tracking and monitoring, supervised community treatment, and life-skills services. There were 3,205 service records submitted to the Division of Criminal and Juveniles Justice Planning (CJJP) during fiscal year 2008. Of these records, there were 2,839 unique youth served. There were 651 records for youth who were served within the same services multiple times (127 youth) or across multiple services (171 youth). This report provides data on total services delivered, unique population served, and unique count by program. Data are provided by gender, race, recidivism in the juvenile system, and recidivism in the adult system. 57 tables and 12 figures
