This DVD contains a security planning toolkit aimed at providing assistance to local public health, healthcare, and law enforcement officials in dealing with public health emergencies. The information on the DVD is presented in four main areas. The Law Enforcement and Healthcare Workshop section provides information and forms for officials to design and host such a workshop. The Point of Dispensing Site Security and Traffic Management contains information on conducting a site assessment and developing a plan for managing security and traffic. The Hospital Security section contains information on developing a hospital security plan for medical surge and other emergency situations. The Security-Based Tabletop Exercise explains how to design and host such an exercise. The forms provided in the various sections of the DVD can be edited or customized for use with individual departments, and can be opened and edited using either PC or Mac versions of the Microsoft software. The documents can also be opened with Open Office, but some of the formatting and functionality may not work with this software.
