Abstract
This guidebook was developed by the Washington State Division of Public Behavioral Health and Justice Policy for implementation of Juvenile Justice 101. Juvenile Justice 101 is a State program aimed at providing justice-involved families with information about the juvenile justice system, one-on-one support, and connections to community resources at the initial phase of the court process. The guidebook begins with a detailed description of Juvenile Justice 101 that covers orientation, one-on-one support, and community outreach. This is followed by a detailed outline of a 6-minth plan for implementing Juvenile Justice 101 in an individual court. Areas covered in the plan include holding a family and youth meeting, engaging a stakeholder group, holding oversight committee workshops, localizing materials, hiring and training family partners, program administration, community outreach, and the core features of the program. The final section of the report discusses why and how to collect data about the program, as well as how to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. Tables, figures, and appendixes
