STUDY OF 202 MATCHED PAIRS (101 JUVENILE DELINQUENTS AND 101 NONDELINQUENTS) IN PUERTO RICO BETWEEN THE AGES OF 11 AND 17, WITH STATISTICAL RESULTS OF AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE TESTS GIVEN THEM.
Abstract
THE JUVENILES ALL FILLED OUT SOCIAL HISTORY QUESTIONNAIRES AND WERE GIVEN PSYCHIATRIC, PSYCHOLOGICAL, PHYSICAL, NEUROLOGICAL AND ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPHIC EXAMINATIONS. SOME CONCLUSIONS WERE THAT DELINQUENCY SEEMS TO BE LINKED WITH A CHILD'S GROWING UP IN A FAMILY WITH NUMEROUS PROBLEMS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE FAMILY HAS LIVED IN A SLUM FOR MORE THAN ONE GENERATION, AND WITH POOR BEHAVIOR AND PERFORMANCE IN SCHOOL. --IN ITALIAN
